Providence Health & Services Pharmacy Technician - Pediatric Pulmonology Clinic in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (Providence Pediatric Pulmonary and Allergy Clinic, Day Shift, 8 Hrs/week) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Greet patients in person and by phone; answer questions and requests; refer drug information inquiries to the pharmacist.
Assist nursing staff with prior authorizations (PA). Communicate authorization status to patients as needed.
Monitor prescription refills and identify patients with poor adherence to medications.
Work with patients and clinic staff to identify and address barriers to adherence.
Transmit prescription test claims through insurance to determine coverage.
Facilitate timely patient access to medications by determining most appropriate insurance-contracted pharmacy.
Assist with enrolling patients in copay assistance programs to reduce out-of-pocket costs to patient.
Adhere to established company compliance, policies, procedures and protocols.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Graduate or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and state licensure if required by law
