Providence is calling a Pharmacy Operations Manager to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Coordinate the daily operational activities of the pharmacy to provide for a well organized and efficient department.

  • Have key responsibilities that include:

  • Management of all aspects of infusion center pharmacy operations at Providence Portland Medical Center (PPMC), Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (PSVMC)- west side Clinic, Southeast Oncology, and Newberg Oncology.

  • When applicable & appropriate act as the pharmacist in charge (PIC).

  • Overall personnel management including supervision of technicians and or pharmacists.

  • Technology management (Pyxis, drug packager, Medkeeper, IV room, etc.).

  • Leads work flow and production efficiency.

  • Management of drug procurement practice and operational components of drug shortages.

  • Oversight of Controlled Substance program.

  • Works closely with the Program Manager for Regional Oncology to ensure that oncology clinical programs integrate with oncology infusion operations & collaborates with Investigational Drug Program manager.

  • Performs cross-functional duties in collaboration with the various department of pharmacy units, including those of the Oncology/IV Admixture. Pharmacist and the Staff Pharmacist, Patient Care; performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required. (Example: day to day integrated work, supportive care, Epic builds, staffing support, interdisciplinary collaboration, etc.).

  • Responsible for meeting all regulatory and compliance standards such as JC, OBOP, USP 797/800, CMS, FDA, etc.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Pharm-D or MS degree

  • Valid Oregon Pharmacist license

  • 2 years of experience working in a hospital pharmacy department

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Supervisory experience

  • Completion of a Pharmacy PGY-1 Practice Residency

  • Oncology experience and/or Oncology board certification
