Providence Health & Services Pharmacist Intern in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Intern (Anticoagulation Clinic, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will (Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist):
Evaluate and educate patients regarding medications and anticoagulation, monitor inventory, according to all regulatory agencies and department policies and procedures to ensure quality of services.
Perform pharmaceutical care programs which include assessment, monitoring and outcomes related to patient drug therapy per department policies and procedures.
Promote and monitor the medical/pharmacy therapeutic plan that will produce specific therapeutic outcomes for the patient.
Consistently coordinate and/or implement patient education program appropriate for the patient and based on the patient's and/or family's ability, willingness and readiness to learn.
Perform leadership functions to guide, direct, supervise and coordinate staff to efficiently achieve and maintain an orderly pharmacy unit (satellite/station).
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent AND enrollment in an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Current Pharmacy Intern registration issued in Washington State
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prior experience in a hospital, ambulatory, or retail pharmacy
First year Pharmacy School students
